Standard Control
A gas fire with a manual control
accessed beneath the firegrate (not suitable for hole-in-the-wall
fireplaces). The manual control operates the pilot and the

Permanent Pilot
Control
A gas fire with a manual control
accessed beneath the firegrate (not suitable for hole-in-the-wall
fireplaces). This fire has a permanent pilot which, when left on, allows the
fire to be operated by a hand-held ultrasonic controller which gives a
variable flame height. The system is battery powered....................from

Mains Operated Remote
Control
A gas fire controlled by mains
electricity, stepped down to 24 volts, via a white wall switch which gives
high/low and on/off. Add £85 for a brushed steel wall switch

Battery
Operated Remote Control
A gas fire with full control by a
hand-held infrared controller which operates the pilot, high/low and on/off.
No mains electricity is required. The system is battery

Questions
Does
Real Flame install its fires and fireplaces?
In the Greater
London area, we offer a full installation service for everything we sell,
provided by our fully trained and experienced GAS SAFE registered gas fire and
fireplace fitters. We are also happy to extend gas supply pipes or re-route
them. In many cases we can give you a rough estimate of the cost of
installation in advance, otherwise we can send a fireplace fitter to prepare
a full estimate for you.
What
size fireplace do I need?
We have a huge
range of firegrates, of all sizes, and we can make gas fires to match all of
them. So measure your fireplace before you come in to see us and then you
can choose a firegrate to fit, and match aesthetically, your fireplace. If
you want a new fireplace in place of an old one, again measure the existing
fireplace opening so that we can recommend the right size and type of
replacement fireplace.
Can you
supply and fix steel flue pipe, or arrange for my flue to be lined?
Yes we are very
happy to design and fit a new steel flue for you, and we can arrange for an
estimate to have your flue lined. If the steel flue needs a fan to increase
the flue draught, we can design, supply and fit that for you too.
What if I
want a very modern fireplace, perhaps to my own design?
We are specialists in
designing modern, minimalist and hole-in-the-wall fireplaces of all types, with
or without a flue fan. Tell us what you want and we will help you. You will
find in the Minimalist Fires section of this website some illustrations of
made-to-measure minimalist fires we have previously created for Customers.
